Do I have to pair the Bluetooth app to the SSD or to the computer? Are both the internet connection and BLE required to unlock the drive?

The X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD has its own embedded Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module on its hardware, which means that it does not require any external device such as a computer or a mobile device to be paired with in order to unlock it. The X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD Bluetooth app can be used to unlock the drive by communicating with the embedded BLE module on the SSD directly. In terms of internet connection, it is not required to unlock the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD. The BLE module on the SSD communicates directly with the Bluetooth app, which means that it can be unlocked even if there is no internet connection available. However, if you want to access the internet for other purposes, such as cloud storage or online backup, then an internet connection would be required.
