Where is the event log stored, and do I need an internet connection to generate new events?

Modified on Wed, 26 Jun at 12:48 PM

The event log in X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD is stored securely within the firmware. Additionally, an internet connection is not required to generate new events. Details below:

1. Event Log Storage: The event log in X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD is stored directly within the firmware of the device. This ensures the security and integrity of the log, as it cannot be tampered with or easily accessed by external entities.

2. No Internet Connection Requirement: X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD does not depend on an internet connection to generate new events. Even if the host system is offline or not connected to the internet, the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD protected device will still record and store new events in its event log, once threat is detected by its embedded AI.

3. Accessing the Event Log: To access the event log and review the recorded events, you can use the X-PHY® Guard PC Application or the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD Connect app which provides all recorded lockdown instances and events on your X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD protected device.

By storing the event log within the firmware and not requiring an internet connection for event generation, X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD ensures the integrity of the log and allows you to monitor security events even in offline scenarios. The X-PHY® Guard PC Application and companion app provides a convenient way to access and review the event log, offering visibility into the security activities of your X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD protected devices.
