What does the ambient light security feature do?

The ambient light security feature of the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD is designed to detect changes in the environment where the SSD is located, such as changes in lighting conditions. When the light sensor on the SSD detects a change in the ambient environment, the X-PHY® Guard PC Application is able to detect this and send an email notification to alert the user or IT administrator that there has been a change in the SSD's location or environment.
