What is the difference between X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD and solutions such as Cigent Secure SSDs?

Modified on Thu, 27 Jun at 10:53 AM

X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD and Cigent Secure SSDs are both solutions that offer cybersecurity features for solid-state drives. However, X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD is a standalone drive that does not require any additional software to implement its advanced security measures, while Cigent's Aspen and K2 series rely on their D3E software for basic data defense. Only the Denali series from Cigent offers a built-in ransomware detection feature, but it does not have the same level of cybersecurity as X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD since it lacks FIPS 140-2 Level 2 Certification. In summary, X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD offers a higher level of security and is a standalone solution, whereas Cigent's solutions require additional software and do not have the same level of certification. Please refer to the comparison chart below for more information.
