Can the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD work without bitlocker?

Modified on Wed, 26 Jun at 5:12 PM

X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD is designed with advanced security features, including AES 256 encryption, to protect user data. Whilst the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD can work with Bitlocker, it is not recommended to enable BitLocker as it may cause vulnerabilities and in turn affect the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD's ability to detect malicious activites within encrypted data. BitLocker is a built-in encryption feature in Windows that uses AES 128 encryption standard and relies on the TPM chip on the motherboard for encryption and decryption of data. In contrast, X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD have their own AES 256 encryption mechanisms built-in and does not rely on the activation of the TPM chip or any other external security features to protect data. It's important to note that using BitLocker on an X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD may compromise the security of the drive and make it more vulnerable to attacks. Therefore, it's recommended to use the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD 's AES 256 encryption standards to protect your data.
