No, you generally do not need to install any special software to use an X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD. Once you have installed the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD in your computer and transferred your operating system and other files to it, you can start using it immediately like you would any other storage device. The only application that needs to be installed is the X-PHY® Guard PC Application. The X-PHY® Guard PC application allows you to monitor the health and performance of your drive, view the event logs, configure the security features of the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD, perform firmware updates when available amongst other holistic features.
