What happens when an attack occurs? Does the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD get locked? If so, can software applications continue to run?

X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD protects your data by locking the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD and prevents the attack from occurring. The threat would have to be removed manually by the user. To unlock the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD, please use the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD connect mobile application. 

You may refer to the start-up guide here. Software applications will not continue to run as the X-PHY® Guard PC Application would shut down the Operating System after locking the drive. Once the threat has been removed, just simply unlock the X-PHY® AI Embedded Cyber Secure SSD and reboot the PC to continue using the software applications.
