What capabilities does the Matrix Shield engine offer?

The X-PHY® Matrix Shield is unique because it operates independently with its own OS, offering live restoration and real-time threat detection to prevent downtime even in the event of system corruption.

The Matrix Shield engine provides:

  • Real-time data acquisition and security verification outside the process integration stack.

The Matrix Shield continuously monitors all hardware computations occurring between the CPU, PCH Host Processor chipsets, and the motherboard through a constructed barrier isolation. This effectively tracks operations and eliminates potential for Direct Memory Access (DMA) attacks.

  • Direct Memory Access (DMA) security fortification to prevent DMA attacks.

When a DMA-enabled component is detected, the processor compares newly acquired data against established malware patterns from a relevant database. If a match occurs, the system identifies a potential security violation.

  • Anomaly detection using integrated machine learning for enhanced security.

By employing advanced neural networks, the Matrix Shield detects both known and unknown threats by observing patterns and deviations in data handling. This capability allows proactive identification of potential vulnerabilities. The patented AI algorithm actively monitors operations among the various shields devised by host processors. This allows for the detection of attacks on primary memory space at the lowest OSI layer (Layer 1). The system maintains an isolated environment for effective monitoring from layer 2 to layer 7.
